What type of license do I need to drive a camper?

All our vehicles can be driven with a type B license as long as it is valid, or the equivalent national permit. Remember that you must be over 25 years old and also have a 2-year driving license.

What documentation do I need to rent a camper?

After your reservation has been confirmed, you must send us a copy of your driver's license and ID or passport (all valid documents) by e-mail or WhatsApp.

On the day of delivery, you must provide the original documents mentioned above, in addition to a credit or debit card for the deposit.

What does the rent include?

All our rentals include:

  • Welcome Pack
  • Cleaning kit
  • Kitchenware
  • Camping chairs and table
  • Bedding (mattress cover and bottom sheet)
  • Basic support kit
  • Unlimited mileage
  • Comprehensive insurance with travel assistance and an excess of €800.
How long in advance can I make my reservation?

You can make the reservation through the web up to 24 hours before the start of the rental.

How much do I have to pay to make a reservation?

The reservation of the vehicle will be made by paying 50% of the total rental amount. The remaining 50% will be paid the same day the van is picked up.

What is the minimum number of rental nights?

The minimum rental period in low season is 2 nights. At Easter and Christmas: 4 nights. High season and extra: 6 nights. Full bridges.

What is the schedule of delivery and return of the vehicle?

Our standard delivery schedule is from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the return schedule is from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can select other times at the time of making your reservation.

Where is the delivery and return of the vehicle made?

The free service of delivery and return of the vehicle will be carried out at our base. Although, if you wish, at the time of making your reservation you can select collection and/or return at other different delivery points, such as: address, airport, port and train station (see conditions)

Currently, we do not have private parking for your vehicle, however, this should not worry you as there is no problem finding parking on public roads.

What does the delivery process consist of?

During the delivery process we will explain the operation of the vehicle and we will jointly review the delivery conditions of the vehicle, both interior and exterior. This phase can last between 30 and 45 minutes. Next, we will proceed to block the deposit (on a credit or debit card) and formalize the contract.

Remember that it is important that you do not forget to bring your driving license and valid DNI or passport (original documentation).

How should I return the vehicle?

The vehicle must be delivered in the same clean conditions in which it was delivered: clean (interior and exterior), with empty gray water and toilet tanks and a full fuel tank.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Yes. In case of cancellation the following conditions will apply:

  • Cancellations before 30 days from the start of the reservation without penalty. Except, reservations in: bridges, Easter, Christmas and the months between June and September (both included), whose penalty will be 50% of the total reservation.
  • Cancellations between 30 and 16 days before the start of the rental: 75% of the total rental.
  • Cancellations with less than 15 days until the start of the rental: 95% of the total rental.
Why do I have to post a bond?

The deposit is a guarantee deposit that allows to cover possible damages in the vehicle, made by the traveler during the rental. In addition, it will serve to cover the excess in case of loss.

After the return of the vehicle, if there is no damage, the full refund of the €800 deposited will be made within 48 hours.

You must ensure that the credit card limit allows you to pay the requested amount.

What type of insurance does the camper have?

All our vehicles have comprehensive insurance with an excess of €800.

Can I travel outside of Spain?

Yes, you can circulate in all the EU countries as well as Andorra, Norway, Switzerland-Liechtenstein, Great Britain and Iceland.

Remember to check the General Rental Conditions if you want to leave Spain and/or Andorra.

Is the functioning of a camper complex?

No! In addition, at the time of delivery we will explain in detail all the operation of the van for as long as necessary.

Can I see the camper van before renting it?

Yes. We will be happy to show you our vans!

Campo Base Camper is an online company, therefore we do not have a specific physical space for receiving our clients. However, this is not a problem, if you wish, you can make an appointment through our communication channels (+34 647688590 or [email protected]) and we will show you our vans at our standard return/pick up point.

Can I bring my own bedding?

Yes. Just keep in mind that all our beds are equipped with a mattress protector and bottom sheet. Therefore, you can use your own bedding, but always keeping our protectors and bottom sheets.

If you prefer, at the time of making the reservation, you can select the double bedding pack that includes a pillow, sheets and blanket.

Can I smoke inside the vehicle?

Smoking is not allowed inside our vehicles. The use of candles, incense or other flammable products is also not allowed.

Can I bring pets?

Considering that not all our clients can stay in environments where animals have lived, at the moment it is not possible to bring pets. However, at Campo Base Camper, we are animal lovers. For this reason, we are working so that, shortly, our clients can enjoy an unforgettable experience in the company of their pets.
